Canary Islands need sustainable turism

This is not about turist-phobia.

On the 20th of April there will be massive protests on all islands and various locations on the mainland of Spain and in other cities, up to Berlin and London. The problems are diverse. Nature (even protected areas) keeps being sacrified to build even more resorts. Foreign investors buy up apartments and builings, asking ludricous rents to both Canarian as tourists and at the end of the day the islands still form the poorest region in Spain.

This is about the future of our waiters, our neighbours, the future of all Canarian people and the future of the beautiful nature of the islands.
And eventually this is also about the future of all those who love Canary Islands.

A change in the economic model of turism is desperately needed to preserve Canary Islands! 🇮🇨
