La Buena Vida bar is to be found at the corner of  Ripoche street and Secretario Artiles street, in the buzzing Port-Canteras district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

It is located in a pedestrian zone just a stone's throw away from Santa Catalina park, with all its events.

The port with its cruise terminal and the El Muelle shopping centre are also closeby.

The famous Las Canteras beach, considered one of the best urban beaches in the world, is only a few steps away.

Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria, has a lot to offer with its bars, restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, ports, beaches and much more. It is a vibrant city, a melting pot of (culinary) cultures, and always lively. Thanks to the climate that is said to be the best in the world, in Las Palmas one can live outdoors 365 days of the year.

Getting here

Ripoche street is a pedestrian zone between the Santa Catalina Park and Tomás Miller street.

On foot

Are you at Las Canteras Beach or another place close by and are you thirsty?

Go towards the Santa Catalina Park. Ripoche street starts where the farmacy is. Just a few steps ahead and you'll find our bar on your right hand's side.

Coming from Tomás Miller street, Ripoche starts where the Appartment building Santa Catalina Park is ubicated. In this case you walk a bit further, going towards the park, and eventually you'll see the bar at your left hand.

By bus

Probably the easiest and most economic option when walking is not an option.

You can get off at the Santa Catalina Park. The bar is only a 2 minutes walk away. There's lots of bus lines that stop in the park. Ripoche street starts where the farmacy is. In the second part of the street you'll find our bar on your right hand's side.

Update:

Until further notice, Santa Catalina Park is closed for all traffic. The busstops are moved to the streets Albareda and Presidente Alvear.

By car

You can (try to) park the car in the surrounding streets. It is either paid parking or a very short stay. Moreover it can be complicated because it is a very busy zone.

The parking garages in the shopping center El Muelle and Padre Cueto street are quite close by and affordable.

By taxi

If you arrive by taxi you can get off at the corners of the following streets:

Ripoche and 29 de Abril,

Ripoche and Gral. Vives or

Secr. Artiles and Nicolás Estévanez.

Taxis are not expensive in Las Palmas. Also they are often used, easy to get and reliable.

Accessibility for wheelchairs

The entrance of the bar has a ramp and the premises disposes of an adapted toilet for disabled clientes.

The terrace is comfortable and has easy access.

Unfortunately the seats and tables inside are not really apt for wheelchair users as they are quite high.
